DINING OUT

Tuesday, August 24    6:30 pm     Thai Cuisine in Point Loma
This is our favorite Thai restaurant. Lots of parking, costumed waitresses, and delicious food.
Torrey Pine's Ethinic Dining Out is a group of adventurous club members who meet on the Third Tuesday of Each Month, for dinner at different Ethnic restaurants in central San Diego. Our goal is to find authentic, Mom and Pop establishments, in ethnic neighborhoods that are clean and reasonably priced. Our first meeting was at La Sevilla on December, l994 and we have met continuously since! We have visited more than 55 different restaurants representing 34 different cuisines!! Between 4 and 20 attend and new members are welcome anytime.
Since we need to inform these (usually small) restaurants of our visit, reservations are essential so we can let the restaurant know how many to expect.
RSVP REQUIRED!
To RSVP and to find out the address of the location contact: Janet [jspiro@webtv.net]    619-291-1935

Of all the distinct, natural communities in California, only one is found throughout and only one can be said to represent the state's most characteristic wilderness: the chaparral. Join us as we explore the chaparral's unique natural history, reveal the truth concerning its many myths and surprising mysteries, and why it represents such a vital link to nature for all Californians. We will also discuss how we can create fire safe communities and protect our natural environment at the same time.

This film is about the immense natural force of the great circle of volcanoes and seismic activity that rings the Pacific Ocean and the varied people and cultures who coexist with them. [38 minutes]
