Guest speaker will be Lucien Miller, President/CEO of Innovative Designs, a Vista, California Company that specializes in providing electric power systems for use in radio controlled Aircraft, Helicopters, Multirotor and small Drones. Lucien will be giving an informative presentation about the history of Drone Technology that goes back over 100 years, as well as discussing current technology developments and how these new Drones and UAV’s can be used today for a variety of applications. This will be a very interesting presentation. Parking is validated.

Join us for this docent lead tour of the new exhibits at the SD History Center, 1649 El Prado in Balboa Park. Gabe Selak, our wonderful speaker at the November Meeting, will be our guide. We will explore the "Wonderful World of Dr. Seuss" Exhibit and the brand new "San Diego Invites the World-The 1915 Exposition". This Centennial Celebration exhibit is part of the big event to be held in 2015. We will also have a chance to see the new movie "Balboa Park - Jewel of San Diego" just being released for this 100 Year Celebration. The tour will be about 90 minutes. The cost is $6.00 including entrance and docent guide. Stay at the Park and enjoy some of the free Tuesday museums or a nice lunch. Meet in front of the Museum at 9:45 AM.

The annual TPSC Bowling Tournament will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 5:30 PM. Kearny Mesa Bowl will again be giving us a low price per person for shoes and bowling. As usual, please get there at least half an hour early to get your balls and shoes so we can begin at 5:30 PM sharp. Awards will be presented at dinner - optional group dinner will be arranged at Giovanni's.

Entrance Fee (for seniors 65 and better): $8.00
If you're 65+ get together with other Torrey Piners for Senior Monday at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. The entrance fee of only $8.00 includes a lecture, all current exhibits, and an IMAX movie.
BEGINNING IN OCTOBER THE LECTURES WILL BEGIN AT 10:30 AM and will occur in the Heikoff Dome Theater. The lecture is free with admission. Tickets are required to attend the lecture and can be requested at the Ticket Counter. Lecture space is limited, and lectures often sell out. Visitors are encouraged to stay to enjoy the galleries and special senior discounts in Galileo’s Café and the North Star Science Store. Fleet's doors will open at 9:30 a.m. on the first Monday each month to get Senior Monday started early.
