Torrey Pines is and has always been a SKI CLUB. Although some of our members don't ski (they just joined to enjoy all of our other great activities) many of us are always either skiing or planning our next ski trip. Please come with us on one of our trips.

It’s Beach Bunch time and we are back at Sunset Point on Mission Bay. Meet at 5:30 PM. Bring a dish to share (YOU MUST ALSO BRING YOUR OWN SUPPLIES/plates, silverware, cups, etc.), BYOB, beach chair and firewood.. We stay for a nice time around the fire, so please bring firewood if possible. RAIN (OR NO ONE SHOWING UP by 6:30 PM) cancels. This is a NO HOST activity.

Join us at 2:00 PM Sunday for an informal afternoon of Bocce Ball at the location in Liberty Station. We will be in the grassy area (TG 1288 D1). Farragut Road is off Rosecrans Street in Point Loma. Novice players are welcome. Bring a chair, drinks and snacks (if you like) and bocce balls if you have a set. Join us for a free walk through Balboa Park. We will be guided by a Park Ranger who will describe the architecture and beautiful flora in the park. Meet in front of the Visitors Center by The Prado Restaurant at 10:00 AM. Walk will be fairly flat but we could encounter some inclines so wear comfortable shoes. Bring water. It is a free Tuesday for some museums so you can roam into one of the many museums including the Art Museum or enjoy a nice lunch in the park after the tour.

Join us for a private tour with an expert guide at the Stone Brewing Co. (TG 1129 D4) We will go through the heart of the working brewery and learn about the beer process and the popular new craze-craft beers. The tour will last about an hour and will include a free tasting glass along with four samples tastings. The tour starts promptly at 11:00 AM-no refunds or waiting for late arrivals. If you're 65+ get together with other Torrey Piners for Senior Monday at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. The entrance fee of only $7.00 includes a lecture at 12:30, all current exhibits, and the 2:00 PM IMAX movie. The lecture takes place in the Grayson Boehm Lecture Hall. Lectures often sell out so come early to purchase lecture tickets by 11:00 a.m. and then enjoy the galleries and special senior discounts in the cafe and store before the lecture.

The Summer Pops is featuring the Rolling Stones Tribute on Saturday, June 29, 2013 and the SDCSC is inviting you to join them at their pot luck summer event. Purchase your own Lawn Tickets ($18) and meet at the Entrance at 5:30 PM. Tickets are limited. They can be ordered at sandiegosymphony.com or by calling 619-235-0804. The SDCSC will provide dessert, napkins, plates and flatware. Bring blankets and low to ground chairs. We will be on the west side of the lawn facing the stage near the bay water. The Concert starts at 7:00 PM and the Entrance opens at 6:00 PM. We will enjoy fireworks after the concert. Alcohol may not be brought in but will be available for purchase.

Scuba Dive Trip
The 4th annual FWSA Scuba Dive Trip will be to the wonderful island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, and includes seven nights lodging at Ramon's Village (double occupancy), six days of 2-tank boat dives, full breakfast daily, plus airport transfers. Annual Padre Game/Tailgate Party - Padres vs. San Francisco
Saturday, July 13, 2013 - 3:30-6:00 PM. Travel to game on your own at 6:00 PM. Game time is 7:10pm.
Cost: Tickets are $21 (face value is $35.)
Join us for a good old fashioned baseball game. This event starts with a tailgate party at 3:30 PM in the Qualcomm Parking Lot - section J2-J3 under the Trolley. Bring a dish to share and BYOB. The group consists of people from several ski clubs. The seats are discounted…a new section this year. (FP123 Rows 34 and 35). Parking is free at Qualcomm. After tailgating most will take the trolley to Petco Park about 6:00 PM. The game starts at 7:10 PM (Padres vs. San Francisco Giants). This event is always a good time.

Join us for this always fun Coronado Concert at the Gazebo on Orange Avenue. The band will be “The High Street Band”. We are going to have a short bike ride for anyone interested – meet at the Park at 4:00 PM to participate in the bike ride. If not, meet at the park for the concert at 5:00 PM. The music starts at 6:00 PM. You will find us on the Orange Avenue side of the park in front of the bandstand. Bring your chairs, BYOB, and an appetizer to share and whatever you want for the main course.

A Classic Silent Movie, “The Eagle”, starring Rudolph Valentino is accompanied by Dennis James on the famous Spreckels Organ. This program is always one of the most popular of the summer organ concerts. Look for us near the front on the west side. Seats will be saved for a short time but this event fills up fast so why not come early and stake out your seat….if you like you can then enjoy the park or head off for a picnic.
