It’s Beach Bunch time and we are back at Sunset Point on Mission Bay. Meet at 5:30 PM. Bring a dish to share (YOU MUST ALSO BRING YOUR OWN SUPPLIES/plates, silverware, cups, etc.), BYOB, and beach chair. We stay for a nice time around the fire, so please bring firewood if possible. RAIN (OR NO ONE SHOWING UP by 6:30 PM) cancels.

Join us for this always fun Coronado Concert at the Gazebo on Orange Avenue. We are going to have a short bike ride for anyone interested prior to the concert. Meet at the park at 4:00 PM for the bike ride. If not, meet at the park for the concert at 5:00 PM. The music starts at 6:00 PM. The band is Nitro Express. You will find us on the Orange Avenue side of the park in front of the bandstand. Bring your chairs, BYOB, and an appetizer to share and whatever you want for dinner. See you there.

Parking is on Lakeshore Drive a few yards away and there are designated parking spots at both ends of Northshore Drive. There is no street parking on Northshore Drive. There are three parking spots in front of the unit and her driveway will be available for two cars.

Join us for this always popular Summer Pops event. The show will be "Broadway-A Rodgers & Hammerstein Celebration". Broadway veterans will sing some of the most iconic Broadway tunes so familiar to all of us from the amazing shows written by Rogers and Hammerstein - King and I, South Pacific, Sound of Music and more. We have a limited number of seats in the Cabaret II section-tables of four. You can bring your own picnic dinner or purchase food on site and enjoy it at your table. You can bring in anything but glass and alcohol. They serve alcohol on the grounds. The gates open at 6:00 PM with preshow entertainment. Show starts at 7:30 PM with fireworks afterwards.

Senior Mondays at the R. H. Fleet Science Center
The first Monday of each Month
IMAX Movie: Noon
Entrance Fee (for seniors 65 and better): $8.00
If you're 65+ get together with other Torrey Piners for Senior Monday at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. The entrance fee of only $8.00 includes a lecture, all current exhibits, and an IMAX movie.
THE LECTURES WILL BEGIN AT 10:30 AM and will occur in the Heikoff Dome Theater. The lecture is free with admission. Tickets are required to attend the lecture and can be requested at the Ticket Counter. Lecture space is limited, and lectures often sell out. Visitors are encouraged to stay to enjoy the galleries and special senior discounts in Galileo’s Café and the North Star Science Store. Fleet's doors will open at 9:30 a.m. on the first Monday each month to get Senior Monday started early.

San Diego Council of Ski Club Activities
The Torrey Pines Ski Club is part of the San Diego Council of Ski Clubs. Our members can participate in their activities. They include such things as ski trips, bike rides and trips. To learn more, please visit their website at: http://www.skisandiego.org.
There are two trips to France planned for Fall of 2013. Don’t hesitate or you will be left behind.
Far West Convention in San Diego - 2015
The FWSA Annual Convention, A Salute to San Diego, will be hosted by the San Diego Council of Ski Clubs and will be held in San Diego June 4-7 at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in Mission Valley. For room reservations: 800-772-8527 before 5/15/15.
The Council has been working diligently on events to keep you busy and entertained the entire four days. On Thursday, June 4 there will be an Old town Trolley Tour of San Diego, a seal tour and a sunset dine-in on the USS Midway. On Friday, June 5 there will be a golf tournament, a San Diego Zoo tour, Kayaking at La Jolla Cove, a long and short bike ride, a pool party and a silent auction welcome party (free entrance, drink ticket, dancing to a DJ, and parking). On Saturday, June 6 there will be a travel expo, an awards luncheon and an awards banquet and dance (black tie optional) with guest speakers at workshops in between.

Every year there’s a bit of competition. Convention sponsors will be giving big prizes to the winners of the Safety Award, Ski Heritage Award and the Environmental Award.
