We are planning a walking tour of the most popular part of La Jolla, its sea shore. La Jolla gets about one million visitors per year and all tend to gather at this area. The main attraction is the sea lions. Point La Jolla is the largest mainland sea lion rookery in California. The pupping season ends in October. Other points of interest are the childrens pool where the seals are pupping, the large Scripps Park, La Jolla Cove and the rugged shore with hundreds of cormorants and pelicans. The walk is easy and flat and will last about one hour with stops.
